“The Forever Tree” opened the 2017 Bentonville Film Festival – a 20 minute short with such fine actors, and a director who is REALLY, outta sight.  Alrick A. Brown.  I a little averse to those blurbs people post with “I worked w/such great people..” etc. but honestly?  I worked with such the greatest people on this.  Shot in 2 days.  18 minutes.  First class. You really should check it out.

October 2016

It's Fall, and beautiful on the Maine coast.  I'm at the Portland Stage Company and the one-&-only Cecil MacKinnon is directing me in AR Gurney's "Later Life" -- and well!  . . .It takes me an hour to trick myself out to look like this every night. (I also took this role to heart.  A gracious critic wrote: "Here is a professional that enhances the role beyond the pages...elegantly floating across the stage and into our sympathies.")

January 2016

The 1.29.16 New York Times describes my portrayal of Lorilyn Hardy as "gloriously eccentric" in The Talking Band's production of Burnished by Grief, A Romantic Comedy at Cafe LaMaMa.  They gave us a CRITIC'S PIC! The entire cast is...well...funny.

September 2015

A still from A NEW!! film by Madeline Olnek -- top secret 'til she releases it -- but it'll be a goody you can bet on that.

March 2015

I played Myrtle Schmidt in Deb Margolin's TRULY wacky, new play, called "What Difference Does it Make?" at New Dramatists. (It was subsequently produced in New Orleans by her son, Bennett!)  How lucky was that?!?

January 2015

Completed the third of four shoots for a feature-length coming-of-age-in-Jew-Jersey film created by Jake Fertig and a crew of amazing folks - it's called "Howeds".  I play the youth's mom. Go figure.

[ I am OFTEN cast as Jewish women.  My very first NYC joblette, was a reading at The Lark, I played a Rabbi's wife during the Holocaust. She was raucous too. ]

December 2014

Ms. Wright is featured in Madeline Olnek’s comic feature The Foxy Merkins, screened December 5-11 in DUMBO. The twelve screenings are presented by IFP in their new state-of-the-art digital facility in Brooklyn at 30 John St.

November 2014

Rae C Wright was seen in the Thanksgiving segment of Marty Scanlon’s comic webisode Far From Famous.

October

Ms. Wright, as the French U.N. Ambassador, has words with Ms. Leoni on Madam Secretary.
